Broomfield is a less populated town in Colorado when compared to Denver and the surrounding areas. With a population of approximately 55,889 residents it’s the 13th most populated county in Colorado. The name of the town was derived from their greatest export: broomcorn. They became the smallest and 64th county of Colorado in November of 2001 and the newest county in all of the United States.
